| Eric Woods of Security won 2 Awards! |
Spent an enjoyable evening watching my fellow employees at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races compete in a talent show. So many people that you work with have gifts that you will never know about...unless they compete! There were several great singers, one of my favorites was Ramses Oviedo, assistant starter at the race track who sang "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz, one of my favorite songs, and he played guitar like a dream. But the show stealer was one of our own in Security, Mr Eric Woods, who performed magic to music. Eric is one of those quiet guys who is very slow to show his talents, but don't mistake him as being shy as I did. He just reveals himself in layers, a very multi-faceted man, a hidden treasure. He won both the people's choice award and second prize. Eric announced afterwards that he was on to his next challenge now. I've never known anyone so driven, and to top it off, he is a totally cool dude.
The winner of our talent show was James Rubeck, from grave shift surveillance, singing 3 am by Matchbook 20, also very talented on the guitar. Everyone there surprised the audience with their gifts.
